This area is a work in progress and is constantly updated. If you don’t see the answer to your question below, you can email and we'll get right back to you.

Q) What’s different about Postography’s postcards?
A) Aside from the love we bake into each card? Our postcards are 4x6 inch matte finish images printed 300 dots per inch (dpi) on recycled paper made from 60% post-consumer waste. We use vegetable-based inks and our production is entirely wind and solar offset. We also are committed to planting a tree for every 20 cards sent.

Q) What if I don't have someones mailing address?
A) You actually don't need a mailing address as long as you have another way to contact them. You can request their address via text message or email. On the 'add recipients' screen, just hit "request" and follow the prompts. They will be sent a link to enter the address and you won't have to think about it again. Just be sure to finish sending the postcard or there will be no card for them to receive.

Q) Can I move addresses from Postography to my address book?
Yes! This is pretty easy. In your Profile, tap 'Past Recipients.' Then simply tap a recipient and you'll have the option of adding it to your address book.

Q) How do I know my order went through?
A) We will send you a confirmation email when your order is successfully processed. You should receive this pretty quickly, like minutes. Be sure to check your spam folder. You can also look at your 'Postcards' tab in the app which will display your sent and pending postcards. See below for an explanation of what "Pending" means.

Q) What does it mean when my card is 'pending'?
A) There are two reasons your card could be pending. Every card is considered pending until the printer actually prints it. If your card says pending, it probably means it has not been printed yet. Don't worry, it will be printed soon. The second reason your card could be pending if you requested an address from a friend via text or email and they have not added it yet. In this case, it will say "pending address." You might want to remind your friend to do that.

Q) How long does it take for postcards to arrive?
A) All postcards are printed and placed in the mail within one business day. It generally takes the USPS about a week for addresses in the USA and 2-3 weeks for addresses anywhere else.

Q) Can I send postcards to arrive on a future date?
A) You sure can! On your final screen, you'll see a line that says 'delivery.' You can tap this and set any date within a year. Remember, cards travel at various speeds so we cannot guarantee an exact date, it will be approximate. If it's a birthday, better to aim early than late.

Q) What if my postcard doesn’t arrive or is damaged in the mail?
A) If you are not satisfied with the quality of your postcard, we will refund or replace your purchase. Just email us and tell us what’s wrong. Please understand, however, that postcards do get scuffed in transit occasionally and are not the best way to simply print your photos. We understand if you want a refund (and you'll get one), but sometimes a little scratch is part of the charm!

Q) I hear I can contact my Senators and Congressional Representative through Postography. Is that true?
A) Good for you being all engaged in electoral politics! Just tap 'Representatives' on the 'Add Recipients' screen and you'll have a few ways of finding your Reps. The easiest is to just enter your ZIP Code. It's really easy. Now, change the world!

Q) Can I hide or delete my postcard images from the feed?
A) Yes! In your profile there is a 'privacy settings' section which allows you to control where your images appear. Remember, we never show your recipients or messages. We're always happy to help if you have trouble, you can email us if you want to delete something or have questions.

Q) How much does a postcard cost?
A) Your first postcard (within the USA) is always free. You may need to enter a credit card to complete the purchase but you will not be charged. Individual postcards cost $1.29 for addresses in the USA. When you buy postcards in bulk, you buy credits. The cost for postcards using credits are one credit for addresses in the USA and two credits for addresses anywhere else. You can buy credits in quantities of 15 for $17.99, 30 for $32.99, 60 for $62.99, and 200 for $199.99. Individual postcards to addresses outside the USA are $2.58 (2 credits).

Q) How do I purchase credits in bulk?
A) You can do this in your 'Postcards' tab by tapping the credit button on the upper right and selecting the number of credits you want. Or, you can find a link in your 'Profile' tab. And hey, thanks! We appreciate it.

Q) How can I get free credits?
A) Ask us nicely… as long as you’ve already created an account, you can reach out and say hi… we’ll see what happens! Also, just because you read this, you can enter "FAQ1" (ALL CAPS) at login for a free credit. Happy sending!
